Holy Trinity Church is at a crossroads at the centre of the city. Here, the people of Uppsala have crowded with the angels under the arches for 700 years. Uppsala’s oldest church has been a much beloved place for life’s special occasions life, like baptisms, weddings and funerals. The Uppsala Light Festival gives you an opportunity to view the tower in a new light, and the church in a way that is, at the same time, new and old. On two Sundays, all electrical lighting will be turned off, and you’ll be able to experience the acoustics and the unique atmosphere in a Concert by Candlelight.
Guided tours open to the public will be given on Saturday 2 and 9 November.
